The Cabinet recess to mark the end of the year will commence on December 22 and end on January 3.
This has been announced by the Head of Public Service Joseph Kinyua who clarified that all scheduled engagements by President Uhuru Kenyatta will continue without any interruption.
In a statement dated December 18, Kinyua said that also uninterrupted will be the calendars of the National Security Council (NSC) and the National Security Council Advisory Committee (NSCAC).
"The Cabinet, Cabinet committees and technical committees will not have any scheduled engagements unless directed by President Uhuru Kenyatta, for urgent business, cases of national emergency or any other exceptional circumstances," said Kinyua.
All Cabinet members, except those who are members of the NSC, NSCAC and the National Emergency Response Committee on Coronavirus, will go on leave once the president approves.
