Deputy President William Ruto's Communications Director Emmanuel Talam landed in trouble with a section of journalists.
This came after he shared a collage image of female journalists in yellow outfits and accompanied it with a caption that suggested the ladies supported the UDA party.
“Media owners’ vs media practitioners…yellow is the colour for and of TV. Hustler nation is real,” Talam tweeted.

Talam came under fire from a section of irate journalists who expressed their disappointment in his decorum and termed it irresponsible, misleading and unfortunate.
Coming from you, bro, this is a low blow, calculated to profile your professional colleagues. Avoid.

WRONG and misleading use of images of innocent media professionals. Below the standards of a former reporter and editor. School buses next? Yellow Fever certificates? https://t.co/5sU5aXP4Zx

This is irresponsible, Emmanuel. Even though you now work for a politician, you were once a journalist and you should know better. https://t.co/plVUpDVQWs

Mother of God. Woe to school buses! https://t.co/Hb0Je3qAss

Since taking up the job as Ruto’s spokesperson, Talam has used his social media platforms to publicise and defend Ruto and UDA.
Talam has also engaged in criticising leaders supporting Azimio la Umoja, Raila Odinga and President Uhuru Kenyatta.
