Former news anchor Janet Mbugua has rejected Moses Kuria’s invite to be his running mate in the Kiambu gubernatorial race.

Janet took to her social media account to turn down the invite.

She thanked Kuria for offering the chance to serve Kiambu County as the deputy governor but noted her lack of interest in politics presently.

“Thanks @HonMoses_Kuria for considering me capable to serve Kiambu County as Dep Gov. Indeed, active engagement in politics isn't for me at the moment,” Janet Tweeted.

However, she intimated her availability in supporting quality service to the people of Kiambu and the entire country especially, the vulnerable.

"I remain available in support of quality service to the good people of Kiambu & all of Kenya, more so vulnerable women & girls," she added.

Kuria had invited Janet to be his running mate in the Kiambu gubernatorial race in the August election.
