Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria has expressed his disappointment after former news anchor Janet Mbugua turned down his offer to become his running mate in the Kiambu gubernatorial race in the August election.

Kuria took to his Twitter account to express his disappointment, saying he was shattered that Janet could not take the offer.

“I am shattered. After scoring the highest marks in the talent search for Kiambu Deputy Governor, Janet Mbugua will not be taking up the job due to unforeseen personal emergencies that she has to attend to in the immediate term,” Kuria tweeted.

However, Janet’s move did not deter the MP who said he felt the loss of not having her as his running mate from intimating that he will find a way to have her work with his administration.

“My administration will definitely find a way to benefit from @OfficialJMbugua experience and capacity in the future. I feel the loss,” he continued.

Kuria went further to laud Janet as a huge inspiration for the youth, for professionals, for women and for young mothers of Kenya.
