This follows a completion of a twenty-one-day training of boda boda riders in the county.

NTSA began a rigorous testing process for individuals who underwent the training that was done in collaboration with the National Youth Service (NYS).

The initiative to train and licence boda boda riders started in April last year and currently targets 1000 riders by the end of the week.

All riders who will successfully pass the test will be enrolled on the Smart DL platform at the Kerugoya Huduma Centre.

NTSA aims to roll out the programme in other counties since the success of the pilot phase.

About two million riders are targeted throughout the entire country in the next phase of the initiative.
