The suspect in the National Youth Service (NYS) mega scandal Phyllis Ngirita is in fresh trouble after a Nairobi court issued her arrest warrant for her failure to appear in court for a hearing case against her.
Milimani Senior Principal Magistrate Bernard Ochoi issued the arrest warrant on Mondy after Ngirita failed to appear in court for the hearing of her Sh20 million tax evasion case.
"I hereby issue warrant of arrest against the accused and summons to the investigating officer and the accused surety to appear in court," ordered Ochoi.
Ngirita stands accused of failing to pay her taxes between December 2016 and December 2017, amounting to Sh20 million.
She is facing four other counts of failing to pay tax and submit her tax returns.

This is the second warrant of arrest issued against Ngirita who is a suspect in the middle of the NYS mega scandal where Sh467 million was lost.
