Deputy President William Ruto toured different regions of Kajiado County on Thursday.

During his Kajiado tour, Ruto made stop overs and addressed the public at Embulbul, Ngong, Gataka and Ongata Rongai.

The DP took a swipe at his arch-rival, the ODM leader Raila Odinga, claiming that Raila has nothing to show Kenyans for his tenure in office even though he had the opportunity to serve both as a Deputy President and a Prime Minister.

He also said the competition was not a beauty contest but a measure of one's development record.

“This is not a beauty contest, it is a competition of one's work and everyone will be weighed by that which they have done,” Ruto said.

While addressing the youth, the DP said there is a relationship between their vote and whether they will get jobs.

"I want to tell the youth that there is a relationship between your vote and your future. There is a relationship between your vote and whether you get a job or not," Ruto said.

Ruto’s Kajiado visit comes barely a week after Raila’s visit to the county.
