As political temperatures continue to rise in the Country, Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) is currently inducting 64 newly recruited officers on the electoral process at a workshop in Naivasha.

The new officers have been selected from managers, Constituency Election Coordinators, procurement officers, accountants and warehouse assistants.

After the ongoing training, the Constituency Election Coordinators and the Constituency Administrative Assistants will then act as returning officers and deputy returning officers during the election period.

The training is based on the electoral process, election technology, election materials, election officials, election management best practices, and the simulations of the electoral process.

The program was overseen by IEBC Commissioner Boya Molu.

It aims to ensure that the new recruits understand the electoral process and the procedure, familiarize themselves with the election materials and technology, and share workplace etiquette.
