The President of the United States of America Joe Biden has nominated former CEO HP Margaret Cushing Whiteman for Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Kenya
Whiteman is a business executive and former candidate for Governor of Califonia.
She is a Member of the Board of Procter & Gamble and General Motors, and National Board Chair at Teach for America.
Whiteman is also a former CEO of a streaming content platform for mobile devices known as Quibi.
Notably, she is also a former President and CEO of Hewlett Packard Enterprise, the Hewlett Packard Company and eBay.

Whiteman has also held other senior portfolios at other popular organizations such as Walt Disney Corporation, Hasbro, and StrideRite Corporation.
The nominee holds a B.A. from Princeton University and an M.B.A. from Harvard University.
She also received an Honorary Doctor of Business Practice from Carnegie Mellon University.
Whiteman was also awarded the Alumni Achievement Award from Harvard Business School and was awarded the Corporate Citizenship Award by the National Action Council for Minorities in Engineering, Inc.
Whiteman’s nomination now awaits confirmation by the US Senate.
