Two Purma Holdings directors who were involved in a Sh2.2 billion tax evasion case and evaded the police officers have surrendered.

Mary Wambui Mungai and her daughter Purity Njoki Mungai presented themselves at the Milimani Anti-Corruption Court on Thursday Morning.

They arrived at the court under the guise of hijabs accompanied by their lawyer, the Law Society of Kenya President Nelson Havi

The duo had evaded a police dragnet at a city hotel where they were hiding on Monday night.

They escaped from their hotel rooms a few minutes before the police and officers from the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) arrived to arrest them.
