Law Society of Kenya (LSK) President Nelson Havi has vowed that henceforth he will not appear in court for any person that opposes Deputy President William Ruto or his UDA Party.
Speaking to a local radio station early Tuesday a day after joining Ruto's party, Havi indicated that he is now Ruto’s general and will do his best to protect and defend the DP.
The outspoken lawyer said he will not work with leaders opposing the DP, telling such leaders who need his services to seek legal representation from other advocates.
''There are many lawyers out there who can represent anyone who has problems with the DP or UDA. I am a UDA member, Ruto’s general," he said.

His statement appears to contradict a position he had pronounced only days back when he said that, as a lawyer, it was his duty to represent anyone seeking legal representation.
Havi had then defended his decision to represent in court ousted Football Kenya Federation (FKF) President Nick Mwendwa saying as an attorney, his work is to defend anyone if they are availed in court.
