Mobile service provider Safaricom has announced the interruption of services on their money transfer platform scheduled for Saturday.

In a notice dated November 5, 2021, Safaricom said its M-PESA serviced shall be undergoing planned maintenance on Saturday from midnight to Sunday morning.

“Our M-PESA services shall be undergoing planned maintenance on Saturday 6th November 2021, starting from 2359 hrs to Sunday 0400 hrs,” read the notice.

The maintenance exercise will affect all M-PESA services, including airtime purchases.

“During the maintenance, all M-PESA services, including airtime purchase shall be temporarily unavailable,” the announcement continued.

The company says they planned the maintenance activity at a time when minimal inconveniences will be experienced by customers.

Safaricom apologised for any inconveniences that the exercise is likely to cause.
