A dormitory in Buruburu Girls High School is on fire 

The cause of the fire is yet to be established.

Swala Nyeti sources on the ground say at least two students have jumped from the first floor of the three storey building.

One of the students who jumped from the building on fire sustained serious injuries.

Initially, the school's authority restricted access but some parents came and stormed into the school compound demanding answers.

Fire brigade rushed to the scene and managed to contain the fire.

An unknown number of students who sustained injuries have been rushed to a nearby city hospital.

The school has been closed indefinitely as irate parents stormed out of the school with their children at hand.

Detains have emerged that the emergency door was locked during that incident and that forced the students to jump through other openings.
