Business in Wang’uru town, Kirinyaga County has been unsettling as some residents protest over the removal of Women Rep Wangui Ngirici’s billboard which has allegedly been approved by Governor Ann Waiguru.

Speaking in Mwea Ngirici’s husband, Andrew Ngirici has protested over the removal of the billboard bearing his wife image.

According to the business mogul, the image that was on the billboard belonging to his wife was destroyed by goons sponsored by Kirinyaga Governor Ann Waiguru.

While admonishing the move by county officials to destroy the billboard, Ngirici bragged about his immense wealth.

“I have seen county officials here giving the youths 10 shillings that is not money. If they want money, I have more than central bank,” he said.

However the county officials have stated that the billboard was removed in order to clean the town ahead of the Utamaduni day celebrations.

The supremacy battle between Kirinyaga woman rep Wangui Ngirici and the Governor Ann Waiguru has been gaining some momentum ever since the governor gave hint on joining the William Ruto camps.

On Friday, Waiguru is said to have held consolidative meeting with UDA allied women including Susan Kihika, Aisha Jumwa and Rahab Mukami.

That angered Ngirici who urged UDA members not to play around with Kirinyaga affairs instead to channel their energy in areas where they were elected.

“If you were elected in Nyeri, Nakuru and the Coast, channel your energy there. I know Kirinyaga people like me for my unrelenting support to them and they are determined to make me their next governor,” Ngirici said.
