Njonjo has asked Kenyans to ignore the rumours about his death as he is well and enjoying his weekend at home during the celebrations of Utamaduni day.

Reports of my death have been greatly exaggerated. I am well and enjoying my weekend at home as we celebrate Utamaduni Day (Moi Day),” Hon. Charles Njonjo.

Njonjo is the only surviving member of Kenya’s first cabinet. He remains the longest-serving member of KANU who served under both President Jomo Kenyatta and President Daniel Moi.
