The Azimio la Umoja One Kenya coalition wants the Supreme Court to throw out two petitions filed by Reuben Kigame and Moses Kuria.

In the responses the Azimio coalition filed at the Supreme Court on Friday, the Azimio coalition leader Raila Odinga and his running mate Martha Karua support the remaining six petitions out of the eight that were filed on Monday.

The petitions supported by the Azimio coalition include those filed by Okiya Omtatah, Khelef Khalifa, David Kariuki Ngari, John Kamau, Julia Chege and Youth Advocacy Africa.

In Kuria’s petition, together with Mbeere South MP Geoffrey King’ang’i, they are seeking the Supreme Court to dismiss the petition Raila and Karua filed to have the presidential election results nullified over claims that they do not have clean hands.

Kuria accused Raila of using the former Gatundu South MP alleged Raila used his chef agent Saitabao Ole Kanchory and others to cause chaos at the Bomas of Kenya Independent Electoral and Boundaries (IEBC) tallying centre.

Kigame also filed a petition at the Supreme Court seeking the declaration of the nomination and clearance of the four presidential candidates as null and void.
