Azimio La Umoja presidential candidate Raila Odinga has been installed as an elder of the Kuria community in Migori County.


Accompanied by Mama Ida Odinga, Raila received blessings from a host of elders from the Kuria community at Kehancha Stadium ahead of an Azimio La Umoja rally scheduled for Thursday.

The event making Raila a Kuria elder was attended by hundreds of elders and local residents and the former Prime Minister was also given a spear and arrow, symbols of protection.


The elders vowed to support his presidential bid in the August presidential election and rally all residents of Kuria to elect him to take over power from President Uhuru Kenyatta.
