Kirinyaga Woman Representative and Kirinyaga gubernatorial aspirant Wangui Ngirichi has hinted that the next deputy president might come from the Mount Kenya region.

Ngirichi shared the sentiments on her social media accounts.

According to Ngirichi, the next DP might come from Mt Kenya and that Central Kenya will only be respected if people from the region had a solid coalition.

“We as Mt Kenya might produce a DP but we’ll only be sure that he/she shall be respected if we have a solid coalition,” Ngirichi said.

She asserted that the same is being echoed by other leaders from the region who have their political parties that have been branded tribal arrangements by a section of politicians.

“This is the voice equally being echoed by Hon @honkabogo , Hon. Mwangi Kiunjuri, Hon. @MarthaKarua , Hon Kiraitu Murungi and Hon. Moses Kuria who have political parties that some quarters are referring to as tribal arrangements,” Ngirichi said.

Ngirichi also said the Mount Kenya region will only benefit through partnerships and election of independent minded people.

She expressed her thought that the region cannot be dictated by outsiders.

“The interests of Mt Kenya can't be dictated by outsiders. It's only through partnerships and election of independent minded leaders that Mt. Kenya will benefit,” she tweeted.
