Wiper Party leader Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka has denied rumours that went viral across social media of his wife Pauline Musyoka's death.

Through his SKM Command Center, he has dismissed the news terming them fake news.

“The SKM Command Centre attention has been drawn to tweets circulating concerning Mama Pauline Musyoka, the wife of the former Vice President Hon.Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka,” the statement read.

“This is FAKE NEWS.”

The statement comes shortly after the news of the death of Kalonzo’s wife was widely circulated across social media after a post by Machakos Governor Dr Alfred Mutua.

In a post that was later deleted and an pology issued, Dr Mutua erroneously announced the death of Pauline Musyoka, which was picked by many blogs.

Head of Communications SKM Command Centre Paloma Gatabaki said it was sad the spinners of such news are not remorseful for their actions and damage they cause the concerned parties.

“It is sad that the spinners of hateful, horrific and fake stories show no evidence of regret nor remorse for the damage they do,” Gatabaki said.

Gatabaki urged Kenyans on Twitter to stop the behavior.

“KOT let's stop this incredibly ditestful behaviour!” Gatabaki added.
