Police have unearthed a syndicate involved in printing fake government documents on Eastleigh’s 1st Avenue, 3rd Street.

Detectives arrested six suspects believed to be linked to the production of fake national identification cards, academic certificates, refugee registration documents among other illegally produced documents.

Detectives from the Trans National Organised Crime Unit working together with Cybercrime detectives stormed the establishment where the documents were being produced after receiving intel through the toll-free #Fichuakwa DCI hotline.

The detectives recovered a bunch of fake documents and equipment, including computers that the miscreants used to produce the fake papers.

Preliminary investigations also established the syndicate is also responsible for the influx of countless illegal alien entries into the country.

The suspects are currently being held at the Directorate of Criminal Investigation headquarter along Kiambu Road where they are being interrogated for more information.

The criminals will be arraigned in court on Thursday

The DCI has cautioned Kenyan citizens against engaging in such crimes as they threaten the security of the country and its citizens.

DCI also said developing fake papers for unknown individuals with unclear intentions is not only illegal but also immoral.
