Kitutu Chache North MP Jimmy Angwenyi has faulted the killings of four grannies in Kisii County who were accused of practicing witchcraft.

Speaking at Parliament premises, the lawmaker urged the residents of his constituencies to stop taking the law into their own hands instead present the culprits to relevant authorities.

The legislature has called upon police officers to speed the investigation process and arrest those involved.

His sentiments come when the police officers have arrested two prime suspects in the murder of the four elderly persons.

The suspects Amos Nyakundi and a teenager aged 18 are in police custody assisting with the ongoing investigations.

The two suspects were nabbed following a hunt launched by police officers on Monday.

The four were murdered on Sunday in dramatic scenes in Marani area after being accused of witchcraft.
