Nairobi Metropolitan Services NMS is conducting the final test run on the viability of the Green Park Bus Terminal today Friday, 18 June 2021.

The test run began at 5:00 am and will end at 9:00 pm.

During the period of the test run all the public vehicles plying the Ngong Road, Langata Road and all adjacent routes are required to pick and drop off passengers at the newly built Green Park Terminus.

The test today has also affected the public service vehicles operating from Moi Avenue, Lane, Kencom, Hakati Road, Ambassador, Mfangano and the Railways Bus Terminus.

The test run is meant to check the efficiency of the terminus in decongesting the Nairobi Central Business District of traffic.

The construction of the Green Park Bus Terminus is in line with the Nairobi Integrated Urban Development Master Plan (NIUPLAN), of the Nairobi administration.

So far, this is the third and last test run to be conducted by NMS on the Green Park Bus Terminus.

NMS says the process is at the transition stage of commissioning the terminal where all stakeholders are making assessments of their preparedness to commission the terminus.
