Five suspects who have been linked to violent robberies while posing to be PSV matatu operators were on Monday charged in a court in Nairobi.

 

The robbery with violence suspects were arrested within the city by Directorate of Criminal Investigations officers based at Buruburu on Wednesday night.

 

Samuel Maina Wanyoike, Joseph Wainana Gitau, Felix Otieno, Dennis Omondi Otieno and Collins Oduor were nabbed aboard matatu registration number KBK 624 F.

 

The five were charged at Makadara Law Courts with various counts of robbery with violence, stealing, handling stolen property and being in possession of suspected stolen property.

 

They were however released on bond of Sh500,000 each with a surety of the same amount pending the mention of the case on November 2.
