The Immigration Department of Kenya will now have your passport delivered to you at your doorstep by Posta Kenya.

This comes after the Immigration Department and Posta Kenya signed an addendum to seal their initial Memorandum of Understanding to deliver passports directly to applicants.

The initiative dubbed the last mile passport delivery services will require passport applicants to make only a visit to the immigration offices to submit the hard copies of the application forms and have their biometric details captured.

Henceforth, it will save Kenyan passport applicants the agony of frequently visiting the Immigration offices to check if their passports are ready.

The passport delivery began in September 2020 and so far has delivered over 156, 000 passports since.

The partnership seeks to increase efficiency in the passport delivery process meanwhile reducing contact in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic.
