The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) has officially declared a two-month registration period for candidates undertaking the Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KEPSEA) and Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examinations in 2024.

The registration process is scheduled to commence on January 29 and will conclude on March 29, 2024, as revealed by KNEC CEO David Njeng'ere.

Speaking in Eldoret where the release of the 2023 KCSE exam results by Education CS Ezekiel Machogu is eagerly anticipated, Njeng'ere emphasized the importance of adhering to the specified timeline and urged school principals to ensure the timely registration of all eligible candidates.

"The registration of 2024 KPSEA and KCSE candidates to begin on the 29th of January to the 29th of March." Notably, he added, "Please note that there will be no late registration after the two months," Njeng'ere stated.

The announcement comes on the heels of the 2023 academic year, during which a staggering 1,282,574 learners participated in the Kenya Primary School Education Assessment.

In the previous academic year, a significant 903,260 candidates sat for the KCSE examinations, which spanned from October 23 to November 2023.

As the registration window for the 2024 KEPSEA and KCSE candidates opens, education stakeholders are encouraged to facilitate a seamless process for students aiming to undertake these crucial examinations.
