Veteran journalist Mark Masai has secured a senior appointment in the Public Relations sector only two months after he was laid off from NTV, where he was a senior news anchor.
PR and marketing agency Professional Marketing Services (PMS) Group on Friday announced it had appointed Masai as its Director of Public Relation and Communications.
In a statement, PMS said the renowned journalist will head the Group’s PR and Corporate Communications team to anchor the company’s pole position in the Kenyan PR industry.
PMS Group’s portfolio currently consists of a host of big brands in the country including Communications Authority of Kenya (CA), Cooperative Bank, Bidco Africa and ICIPE RSIF.
“Mark’s extensive knowledge and expertise will amplify the brands abd create new products to disrupt the African PR landscape,” PMS said in a statement announcing his appointment.

Masai joins the PR and marketing agency firm with 15 years of experience in the local and international mainstream media as well as corporate emceeing and is expected to help PMS navigate the digital disruption.

On his part, Masai expressed his enthusiasm to join the PR and Corporate Communication world after his 15-year stint in the news anchoring world terminated on December 2, 2022.
“Communication is my first language and I have a knack for speaking to an audience with a desired outcome. The market is open and I am ready to close the deals and grow brands,” he said.
Masai, who was one of the finest and most polished news anchors at NTV was let go in a fresh round of layoffs that rocked the Nation Media Group (NMG) in early December 2022.
PMS Group has been in operation in the marketing and communication agency world for more than 25 years and boasts of a presence in more than 32 countries across the globe.
Among other clients the firm has handled include Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, The National Treasury, Hivos People, China Road and Bridge Corporation and Reckitt Benckiser.
