Sauti Sol will be the headline Kenyan act during the upcoming Stanbic Yetu Festival that is scheduled to take place at the Uhuru Gardens in Nairobi on Saturday, June 10, 2023.

This has been confirmed by Stanbic Bank and Radio Africa Group with the award-winning Kenyan Afro-pop band expected to belt some of their chat-topping hits at the festival.

The Lazizi hitmakers are expected to entertain their fans with hits from their five albums and one EP in the event set to feature American award-winning group Boyz II Men.

In 2021, Sauti Sol bagged a Certificate of recognition from the Recording Academy for their role in the making of Burna Boy’s album ‘Twice as Tall’ that won the Grammy Award for Best Global Music Album.

“We are excited to have Sauti Sol perform at the upcoming 2nd Edition of the Stanbic Yetu Festival, they will most definitely help create a soulful and unforgettable musical experience for Kenyans and beyond,” said Stanbic Head of Consumer and High-Net Worth and Acting Head of Brand and Marketing Lilian Onyach.

Onyanch says the choice of Uhuru Gardens as the venue for the event was deliberate for the bank as it aligned with its purpose, which is ‘Kenya is our Home, we drive her Growth.’

“As we know, Uhuru Gardens was officially declared a National Monument in 1966 and is undergoing a massive transformation.

“The monuments and museum are not yet open to the public, however, Stanbic Yetu Festival audiences will get a slight glimpse of the magnificent grounds.”

Radio Africa Events, which is the event organizer, noted that the 68-acre Uhuru Gardens is a National Monument and Museum with a public arena in Lang’ata, close to the Nairobi CBD.

Stanbic Yetu Festival seeks to showcase the power of music to connect people and bring to life Stanbic Bank's brand promise of “IT CAN BE,” bringing possibilities to life, by creating a truly magical live musical experience for Kenyans.
