Gospel singer hailing from the Central Kenya region known as Mary Lincoln repented and asked for prayers on Monday.

This comes after her indecent photos and videos went viral and caused a stir online, especially among the Christian community.

Several artists accompanied Mary to Church for the repentance ceremony, including Shiru Wa GP, Joyce Irungu The Bosslady, Anne Lawrence, Judie Masila and Wairimu Muchiri.

Among the several artists who accompanied Mary to church was Karangu wa Muraya, another artiste who recently came under fire for allegedly taking another ‘celebrity’s’ wife for a holiday in Dubai.

Popular blogger Marthe Mwihaki Hinga who became popular for publishing celebrity scandals shared nude photos of Mary which caused trouble in her relationship with a local radio station celebrity.

After the images surfaced, her suitor believed to have financed her luxurious lifestyle, allegedly threatened to pull out of their relationship and claim all the niceties he had offered Mary as gifts.

Mary responded to her critics who questioned her resolve to pose for such raunchy images saying she had turned a new leaf and was renewed in the Lord.

“Yes, we went to the Christian Foundation Fellowship (CFF) Church for repentance and forgiveness prayer. Our God is merciful and offers those who repent a second chance to resume service to him,” Mary said.

The viral footage is now neither here nor there, what is important is that I am now full of renewed energy to continue ministering and spreading love of our merciful and forgiving God.”

Mary later took to her social media accounts to express her gratitude to her deity and a couple of clergymen who stood with her in prayer during the troubled moments.

“Thank you God for your love.... Bishop wanderi and Rev David Mwangi may God bless you ????Shiru Wa Gp Kenya, Joyce Irungu The Bosslady, Karangu Muraya, Anne Lawrence, Judie Masila, Wairimu Muchiri and all my fellow artists and all friends who have been praying with me, asanteni sana…..” she wrote.
