Popular Nigerian singer and songwriter Oxlade, real name Ikuforiji Olaitan Abdulrahman, is scheduled to perform in Kenya on October 8 at the 7 Islands in Watamu, Kilifi County.
Oxlade, who is popular in Kenya for his ‘KU LO SA’ hit, confirmed in a video that he will perform beside Bien of Sauti Sol at the ‘Sound of the Jungle’ festival that will last three days.
The exuberated Nigerian superstar was full of praise for his Kenyan fans saying his ‘KU LO SA’ hit song had been given more airtime in Kenya than in other country across the world.
“Firstly, I want to say a big thank you to Kenya for giving me the number one song in your country. I’m technically a Kenyan right now and I will need a Kenyan name,” said Oxlade.

He added: “But guess what? I will be live at 7 Islands at Watamu on the 8th of October. Let’s get closer. I want to perform all of my songs and I want you guys to come and have fun with me. Let’s create the madness.”
The 25-year-old singer’s star started rising after he launched his hit song ‘Away’ which made it to the 50 best songs of 2020 list in The Rolling Stone and he has not looked back since.
His biggest and latest global banger KU LO SA, which was released in June, has harvested 21 million views so far and continues to be a favourite for many in clubs and on TikTok.
