Popular American talk show host Ellen DeGeneres announced on Thursday that she had tested positive for Covid-19.
DeGeneres made the announcement to her fans through her verified Twitter account.
"Hi Everyone, I want to let you all know that I tested positive for Covid-19. Fortunately, I'm feeling fine right now. Anyone who has been in close contact with me has been notified, and I am following all proper CDC guidelines. I'll see you all again after the holidays. Please stay healthy and safe," she posted.
This comes as the The Ellen DeGeneres Show resumed production while observing Coronavirus safety protocols in the US and months after the show was rocked by toxic workplace claims.
Comedian Degenere has joined a long list of celebrities who have tested positive for Covid-19, a list which includes Idris Elba, Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson as well as Pink.
