Comedian Felix Odiwuor alias Jalang’o has received a major blow after the Government asked him postpone the much-awaited Luo Festival orgnised by his Arena Media company.
The event was scheduled to take place at the Carnivore Gardens in Nairobi on Saturday.
The Nairobi Region Security and Intelligence Committee wrote to Jalang’o informing of their decision to decline his request to host the event.
According to the committee’s letter to the comedian, it reached the decision after carefully considered the prevailing COVID-19 pandemic and the containment measures put in place.
Jalang’o was therefore asked to postpone the event until a letter date when current measures will have been reviewed to allow such gatherings.
