A video circulating on social media showing police officers raid a popular bar in Karen, Nairobi County has caused a heated debate.
In the video, two officers can be seen raiding a high-end bar, Spasso Bar, for allegedly flouting COVID-19 rules set by the Ministry of Health.
One of the officers is captured picking the most expensive alcoholic drinks and packing them in one of the crates.
Social media was left in shock, wondering why the officer only selected expensive brands.
The officer can also be heard asking the bar owner why he went against the rules. In another part, he is heard telling them to report him to Inspector General Hillary Mutyambai.

The OCS threatened my friend whom you see in the video.. Robert Shaw.. saying that he is "just a muzungu & should not tell the cops how to do their job" when he asked why they are harassing people who were finishing their dinner and drinks. They weren't served after 7p.m.

If the floated Covid-19 protocols the honorable thing to do was to detain them in a police custody as they await Court, not stealing stock in the name of enforcement of the law.

The owner of this bar must be a really good person. I can't take this kind of intimidation and nonsense and why does he feel so entitled even saying "tell the IG " is the current IG really in charge where is the discipline we knew the police service for ?
