Celebrated singer Khaligraph Jones has joined comedian Eric Omondi in sending a tough warning to Kenya Film Classification Board CEO Ezekiel Mutua for terming Kenyan entertainers broke.

In a viral video shared by Khaligraph, the rapper could be seen flaunting wards of cash proving that the industry pays.

The star could be seen faking a phone call to Eric Omondi while using bundles of cash as a phone.

According to the OG, Mutua should respect the artists and their talents, revealing that he had spoken with Omondi, who is in Tanzania about Mutua's remarks.

"Respect our talents. Had a short conversation with my friend Eric Omondi concerning the current situation in our Industry," said Khaligraph.

According to the rapper, it is disappointing to hear top government ranks try to pull down both established and upcoming artists with their condescending remarks.

Khaligraph however hoped to have a conversation with Mutua to resolve the issue.

“I was really disappointed by remarks made by some high government top-ranked official. Hopefully, we will resolve the situation. Watch this space,” said Khaligraph.

Recently, while speaking at a radio interview, Mutua provoked Omondi and all entertainers when he referred to them as broke and beggars.

“Wai ni maskini…hizo ni sarakasi za kujionesha. Wanafanya hizo sarakasi waoneshe wanakejeli serikali lakini hakuna pesa ya kweli.” He said.

He further said that artists in the industry are broke and only survive due to clout chasing and selling ‘dirty content’.

“Hawa watu wote ni maskini bwana wa kusaidiwa. Mbona hakumpatia mbeleni? Omondi hana ata mia ata elfu kumi ya kupatia watu…wasanii wanaumia…yeye ni muombaji. Sarakasi ndio zinafanya wapate depression. We talk to them and we know them and we know who is making money,” said Mutua.
