Former NTV journalist Lolani Kalu is full of gratitude for Kenyans who came through for him at his time of need last year and shown actor Omosh how it should be done.

Kalu has managed to turn his life around after Kenyans donated cash and equipment to him after he appeared on comedian Jalang’o’s Youtube show and called for aid to pick himself up.

The former Gumzo Mitaani presenter burst into tears and got emotional as he narrated to Jalang’o, real name Felix Odiwuor how things went South after he lost his job at NTV.

However, things look up now after he opened a music recording studio and recorded some songs, in addition to his video recording and editing equipment, he can only soar higher.

"I have written a music theory book in Swahili titled Mawe Saba and I would like to request the Ministry of Education to have it in schools for music lessons. I have also recorded songs in the studio and I would kindly ask them to help me in shooting the video.” he told local newspaper The Star.

He added, "I also have another song speaking about the importance of being united as a country. I also ask them to subscribe to my YouTube channel, Lolani Media, so I can start earning from the site."

His story comes as a lesson to actor Omosh real name Joseph Kinuthia, who has dominated the news in the past few days after he made a fresh appeal for financial help from Kenyans.

This comes after he received more than Sh1 million, a house and food aid only months earlier, with his latest appeal rubbing Kenyans the wrong way forcing him to issue a public apology.
