American reality tv star Kim Kardashian has finally filed for divorce from rapper Kanye West following seven years of a public marriage, TMZ reported on Friday.

According to the report by TMZ, the KimYe divorce is amicable with Kim seeking joint legal and physical custody of the celebrity couple’s four children, with the rapper in agreement with this.

Reports also indicate that the two soon-to-be divorces are not contesting a prenuptial they signed before settling down together and are also proceeding with a property settlement deal.

Kim’s lawyers have reportedly failed to indicate the exact date of separation coming as rumours had been rife of their separation following months of not so rosy relations between the two.

Things went further south when Kanye launched his Presidential campaign on July 4, 2020 followed by an inexplicable campaign in South Carolina that saw the rapper break down.

Kim was later to reveal that the controversial rapper who always courts trouble was bipolar forcing her to push forward the divorce as he dealt with serious episodes while apart.

The "Keeping up with the Kardashians" star met Kanye in the 2000s as she was dating Kris Humphries and they started dating in 2012 with their relationship always in the news.

Kim and Kanye got married at a lavish wedding in Italy in May 2014 and have four children together; North West, Chicago, Psalm and Saint.

Kim was once married to music producer Damon Thomas and got divorced in 2004, later married Humphries in August 2011 but divorced after 72 days before hooking up with Kanye.
