American great rapper and super producer Dr. Dre has told his fans he would be “back home soon” after he was treated at a hospital in Los Angeles for a possible brain aneurysm. 

Dr. Dre posted on social media Tuesday night expressing gratitude for “well wishes” amid reports he suffered a brain aneurysm on Monday and taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

“I’m doing great and getting excellent care from my medical team. “I will be out of the hospital and back home soon. Shout out to all the great medical professionals at Cedars. One Love!!,” Dre said.

The Still Dre… singer, whose real name is Andre Young, has produced mega hit songs for Tupac, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, 50 Cent among others and has six Grammys under his belt. 

Dre was born in Compton in Southern California and took the music scene by storm as a co-founder of N.W.A. and produced its huge 1988 debut album “Straight Outta Compton.”

He produced his own hits and multiplatinum albums and produced many big American artistes including Jay-Z, Nas, Kendrick Lamar, Busta Rhymes, the Game, Gwen Stefani and Mary J. Blige.

Dr Dre also founded consumer audio products manufacturer Beats Electronics in 2008 with Jimmy lovine and launched a streaming subscription service, Beats Music, six years later.

Apple acquired both in a historic Sh300 billion deal in 2014.
