Teen Republik and NTV presenter Tracy Wanjiru resigned from the popular show on live television.

The show she hosted alongside Martin Kimani marked the end of her 5-year period at the helm.

"So, today is my last day here with the team on Teen Republik. It has been a great five years on the show but today marks the end of a beautiful journey with such a great team,” Tracy said.

The presenter, however, left what her next move would be to speculation as she only affirmed that she was going to be great.

Her co-host Kimani said they had formed a strong bond on-screen and at a personal level during their stint together.

"It has been so long since I met Tracy, and she has literally been one of my best friends. We have grown tremendously," said Kimani.

She signed off the show by thanking her fans for the love they showed her and the show.

"Thank you so much for all the love throughout the years. I love you so much. Teen Republik is always going to be home," she added.

Her colleagues at NTV prepared a small send-off fete for her and wished her well in her next endeavours.
