NCBA Bank has expanded its reach in Kwale County with the launch of a new branch in Ukunda, marking a major step in its growth strategy.

The new branch, located in Diani, Ukunda town, aims to offer comprehensive financial services to meet the rising demand for accessible banking solutions in the region.

This newly opened facility, the second in Kwale County, will cater to the diverse needs of customers, offering a full suite of banking services including personal and business accounts, asset financing, loans, mortgages, and supply chain financing.

The branch will also provide access to digital banking platforms, allowing customers to manage their accounts and perform transactions through online and mobile banking.

During the launch ceremony, NCBA Group Director of Retail Banking, Tirus Mwithiga, emphasised the importance of the bank's presence in the county.

“I am delighted to see NCBA extend its footprint to Kwale County. This being customer service week, it gives me joy to be here offering customer solutions to customers banking needs," Mwithiga stated.

"The opening of this branch in Ukunda is a significant milestone, not just for the bank but for the people of Kwale County. It reflects our commitment to fostering economic growth, creating opportunities for our people, and ensuring that financial services are accessible to all."

The Ukunda branch seeks to foster economic development in the region by providing critical financial support to local businesses and entrepreneurs.

Customers will have access to business loans, personalised advisory services, and a range of investment opportunities, ensuring that both individuals and businesses can thrive with the help of NCBA’s tailored offerings.

To further cement its connection with the community, NCBA undertook several Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities during the branch launch.

The bank spearheaded a tree-planting initiative in Diani and donated school bags to local children, demonstrating its commitment to environmental sustainability and social welfare.

Fatuma Mohamed Achani, Governor of Kwale County, lauded the bank’s decision to establish a branch in Ukunda.

“The opening of NCBA's Ukunda branch is a significant step towards enhancing financial inclusion in our county. This will greatly benefit local businesses, entrepreneurs, and individuals, as it will provide easy access to financial services and support. We are proud to partner with institutions like NCBA that are committed to empowering our community and fostering economic prosperity,” she remarked.
