Tatu City has completed of the Sh1 billion final phase of infrastructure development for Kijani Ridge constituting of an underground power, 24/7 water and tarmacked roads.

The last 14 months saw the tarmacking of 6km of roads, 12km of footpaths, 5km of underground piped storm water network and 5km of water supply pipeline in the project.

It also saw the completion of 2.7km of sewer lines, 12km of fiber optic cabling and 9.5km of 11kV medium voltage underground power lines in the Tatu City premier residential project.

This is the final phase of Kijani Ridge infrastructure and it is expected to increase the value of the prime properties in the project by at least 122 per cent since November 2022.

Kijani Ridge, with a 79-acre park at its center, is serviced by Crawford International and Nova Pioneer Schools, as well as Tatu Central, the city’s business and entertainment district.

The project has fully serviced 1/4- and 1/2-acre plots start at Sh28 million, with a 24-month payment plan even as 90 per cent of the plots in Kijani Ridge have been sold so far.

Kirimi is the owner and developer of Tatu City and six other city-scale projects in Nigeria, Ghana, Zambia and in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC).

Tatu City currently boasts of more than 50km of tarmacked roads.

Wambu not only owns a home in Kijani Ridge but is also opening a business – Cascade Restaurant – at the entrance to Tatu City.

Tatu City isKenya's first operational Special Economic Zone (SEZ) and hosts more than 75 businesses, including Dormans, Copia, Cooper K-Brands and Grit Real Estate Income Group.

It also hosts Twiga Foods, CCI Global, Freight Forwarders Solutions, Friendship Group, Davis & Shirtliff, and the Kenya Wines Agencies Limited (KWAL).
