British Airways’ first passenger flight between Nairobi and London resumed from Sunday.
The long-awaited flight departed from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport Terminal 1A on Sunday at 23:10 hours and landed in London at 06:15 hours on Monday 06 September.
These direct return flights from Nairobi to the UK are set to enable many people to reunite with their loved ones who had been kept apart due to Covid-19 pandemic restrictions.
“We can’t wait to welcome our customers back on board our flights and we are honoured to be playing our part in reuniting families and friends with their loved ones after such a long time apart,” said Sohail Ali, British Airways’ Senior Vice President, Middle East and Africa, Airport Operations.
He added, “The safety of our customers and colleagues has always been at the heart of everything we do. We know some customers won’t have flown for a long time, we can assure them we have a range of Covid-19 measures in place to provide stress and hassle-free travel.”
