Jumia Kenya customers are set to enjoy free shopping of up to Sh300 and have it delivered to any address across the country at a small fee.

The move is aimed at encouraging more consumers to try e-commerce and discover a rewarding online shopping experience, according to the leading e-commerce platform.

“We welcome all Kenyans to download the Jumia App, and pick a product below Ksh 300 for free (you only pay shipping). To get the best value, select a pick up station near you,” said Jumia CEO Sam Chappatte.

He added, “E-commerce plays an important role in giving people access to basic and essential products at fair prices. We want more & more people to experience the service & see the convenience for themselves.”

Chappatte says this will help eliminate the perceived online buying barriers and encourage consumers to ‘Try Jumia for Free’.

He noted that, unlike in the past when such campaigns were limited to Nairobi, all Jumia customers across Kenya will benefit this time round.

He added that e-commerce can bring daily solutions, convenience and competitive pricing to support communities and offer reliefs to individuals from both convenience and discounts.
