If your business is in a fibre-ready building, Safaricom just dropped a deal you might want to jump on.
For the next two months, new business fibre connections will come with a 25 per cent discount, no small change in today’s tight economy.
The announcement was made in Nairobi during the Grow with Safaricom Business forum, a gathering designed to arm entrepreneurs with tools to survive and thrive; from affordable financing to digitisation and market access.
“Our mission at Safaricom Business is to power business growth through solutions that matter,” said Acting Safaricom Chief Enterprise Business Officer Frankline Okata.
He added: “This offer will make sure MSMEs get the fastest, most reliable internet to match their ambitions.”

The Nairobi forum, themed ‘Fuelling Financial Growth Through Innovation’, attracted a buzzing mix of entrepreneurs from the city’s SME sector, each with big dreams and even bigger hurdles.
According to Kenya National Bureau of Statistics, more than 70 per cent of small businesses in Kenya do not make it past their third year, with cash flow headaches and market gaps topping the list of reasons.
Safaricom says that is exactly where they want to make a difference.
“We’ve rolled out business credit solutions that use transaction history and real-time performance to offer flexible, practical financing for entrepreneurs,” Okata explained.
The Grow with Safaricom Business initiative has already touched thousands of businesses across Kenya through in-person and online events and with this new fibre offer, Safaricom is betting on faster internet as the backbone for business growth.
