The Top Mount Fridge (TMF) has been a big hit in other global markets for blending elegant design with a full range of bespoke color and texture options to transform the kitchen.

While introducing TMF in the Kenyan market, Samsung Electronics East Africa said it comes loaded with the latest freshness and energy saving technologies to enhance food storage.

The Bespoke TMF fridge comes with flexible design and wide colour options for unique kitchen aesthetics and an elegantly simple modern flat door design to upgrade ones kitchen.

Its glass textures in Clean Black, Clean Navy, Clean Peach, Clean Pink, Clean Vanilla and Clean White gives a sleek, color-enhancing finish for a more refined and modern appeal.

On the other hand, its Cotta textures that come in Metal Charcoal, Metal Pink and Metal White varieties offer the consumer the warm, matte finish of baked terracotta.

Samsung Electronics East Africa Head of Consumer Electronics Samuel Odhiambo says the Samsung Bespoke refrigerators are designed to cater to the uniqueness of every home.

AI Energy Saving

SmartThings Energy’s AI Energy Mode uses AI to track the Bespoke TMF usage patterns and power consumption then analyzes the data to assist the user to proactively save energy.

This allows the user to monitor daily, weekly or monthly based on their preferences and estimate their consumption costs to get a better understanding of how they use their fridge.

If approximate monthly power bill surpasses preset target, SmartThings will alert a user and propose switching to AI Energy Mode to enable the user to cut energy use by about 7 per cent.

Optimal Fresh

The Optimal Fresh+ compartment offers four distinct refrigeration modes that have the ability to keep food fresh for up to twice as long as standard cooling.

The feature is located in an independently controlled drawer atop the fridge with four unique temperature modes (Fridge, Meat & Fish, Soft Freeze and Power Cool) to store different food types efficiently and optimally:

Fridge mode: ideal for preserving fresh foods and frequently used daily items like dairy and deli foods.

Meat & Fish mode: The temperature mode can go up to -1℃ and is ideal for users seeking to store unfrozen meat, fish and poultry fresh and ready for up to seven days.


Soft Freeze mode: The temperature setting can go up to -4℃ and is ideal for users looking for an even longer storage time without full freezing. The mode applies a thin coating of ice that prevents freezer burn and allows for pliable cutting with no defrosting required.

Power Cool mode: For rapidly locking in the freshness of groceries, it blasts the Optimal Fresh+ compartment with cold air, reaching low temperatures fast and chilling foods and beverages quickly.

The Bespoke TMF refrigerator comes with 20 liters of more storage than previous models with no extra exterior bulk.
