Samsung Electronics has proudly announced the remarkable growth of its SmartThings Find service, which now boasts an impressive network of over 200 million find nodes.

These nodes work tirelessly to aid users in locating their misplaced devices, further solidifying SmartThings Find as one of Samsung's fastest-growing services.

TM Roh, President and Head of Samsung Electronics' MX (Mobile eXperience) Business, expressed his excitement over this achievement.

"We're proud and excited to see the rapid growth of the SmartThings Find service. In less than two years, 200 million devices have opted in to help fellow Samsung Galaxy users find their misplaced devices, making it one of the fastest growing services at Samsung," Roh said.

"Losing a device can be stressful, but SmartThings Find makes it easier to quickly locate and recover your device. It's just one example of how a connected ecosystem of devices creates meaningful experiences for Samsung Galaxy users all over the world."

SmartThings Find, as a swiftly expanding location service, empowers Samsung Galaxy users to swiftly track their registered Samsung Galaxy devices.

From smartphones, tablets, watches, and earbuds to personal belongings such as keys or wallets equipped with a Galaxy SmartTag or SmartTag+1 device, SmartThings Find proves to be an indispensable asset.

Leveraging Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and ultra-wideband (UWB) technology, the service effectively locates the user's item, even if it is beyond the range of their phone.

Nearby Samsung Galaxy users who have opted into SmartThings Find can lend a helping hand in locating the lost device.

Additionally, with user permission, SmartThings Find can alert individuals if they have accidentally left their device behind.

Samsung places great emphasis on safeguarding sensitive information, including location data.

As such, SmartThings Find encrypts user data and fortifies it with the defense-grade security platform, Samsung Knox.

To ensure privacy, a device's location data is exclusively shared with others upon the user's authorization. Furthermore, the ID of each user's device changes every 15 minutes, guaranteeing anonymity.

SmartThings Find also assists users in identifying unknown SmartTags that may have been tracking them for a specific duration.

The substantial growth of the SmartThings Find service is a testament to Samsung's commitment to enhancing user experiences.

With a vast network of find nodes exceeding 200 million, Samsung Galaxy users can rest assured that their misplaced devices have a greater chance of being recovered promptly.
