HMD Global on Thursday announced that the new Nokia G60 5G is now available in Kenya with a promise of sustainability and longevity to the user.

It is touted as the most eco-friendly G-series device to date, it’s sustainably crafted with 100 per cent recycled plastic back and 60 per cent recycled plastic frame.

The device brings the premium promises seen in the X-series to the G-series for the first time, enabling users to keep their phone for longer with the ‘3-3-3’ promise – three years of OS upgrades and monthly security updates1, and a three-year warranty2.

“At HMD Global, home of Nokia phones, we are working hard on our business wide pledges which shows our commitment to work harder to protect tomorrow,” said HMD Global Senior Business Manager, East Africa, Gopher Ogembo.

He added, “Nokia G60 5G brings longevity promises to the many, not the few to help people keep their devices for longer which allows more customers access to 5G technology and the opportunity to future-proof their phones.”

Durability Planet

The body and back cover of Nokia G60 5G are made using 60 per cent and 100 per cent recycled plastic respectively while maintaining the superior durability Nokia phones are known for.

Nokia G60 5G is also housed in new packaging that has an increased amount of recycled content and uses FSC-certified materials.

If 1 million people held onto their Nokia G60 5G for an extra year, they would save the same CO2 emissions as needed to power 5,652 homes for an entire year.[3]

Signature Longevity

Nokia G60 5G brings the game-changing longevity to an even lower price point – three years of OS upgrades1 now come as standard to keep your device primed for longer backed by a three-year warranty2 at no extra cost.

Exceptional AI imaging

The smartphone’s 50MP triple camera makes capturing crystal-clear images easy and comes with its latest AI technology.

This includes great features such as AI Super Portrait for more refined selfies, Dark Vision for taking photos in low light conditions, and Night Mode 2.0. for that perfect shot at night.

For ultra-wide shots, Capture Fusion technology merges images taken by the main and ultra-wide cameras, to ensuring you get more details in your picture.

It comes with an all-new, intuitive dropdown menu for faster access to key camera settings with a streamlined 6.58” FHD+ 120Hz display for super-smooth scrolling and sharing.

The Nokia G60 5G also comes with the GoPro Quik App preinstalled so the user can shoot, edit and share their creativity from anywhere.

Unmatched Security

Nokia G60 5G’s three years of monthly security updates1 will keep all your personal details safe for years.

You are also able to stream your favourite shows and shop online securely with all other data stored in Finland and protected by rigorous European data laws.

The phone is backed by the Snapdragon® 695 5G mobile platform that futureproofs the user’s 5G connectivity and lets one get things done at home, in the office, or on the move.

It comes with a 20W[4] fast charging ensuring the phone battery tops quickly and lasts longer.
