LG Electronics East Africa and Safaricom PLC teamed up at the Michael Joseph Centre in Nairobi to host the Safaricom Gaming Conference, an event that gathered gamers, developers, and industry leaders to deliberate on the future of gaming in Kenya and across Africa.
The partnership saw LG appointed as the official electronics partner, where the company exhibited its 4K OLED and QNED televisions alongside its Bluetooth-enabled X BOOM speakers.
Attendees were treated to demonstrations highlighting the low input lag, 1ms response time, and Dolby Vision HDR support that distinguish LG’s C1 and G1 TV models.
According to LG Electronics, the televisions, powered by the Alpha8 Gen2 processor, deliver bright visuals of over 700 nits in HDR while supporting features such as VRR, ALLM, HGiG, and game optimiser mode.
The company underscored that these attributes significantly enhance the gaming experience by reducing motion blur and ghosting.
