KCB Group has upscaled its sustainability environmental conservation agenda with a tree-planting exercise at Karuri Primary School in Kiambu County ahead 2025 WRC Safari Rally.
This comes as last-minute preparations are being made for the world popular WRC Safari Rally, which is scheduled to be held in Naivasha, Nakuru County, on March 20-23.
KCB says the financial institution its integrating green initiatives into its motorsport sponsorship as part of its greater commitment to enhancing sustainability in Kenya.
KCB-sponsored driver Evans Kavisi and rally sensation Tinashe Gatimu have collaborated with the Tier-1 bank to promote environmental stewardship ahead of the iconic event.
Gatimu, who is part of the KCB racing team, has been fine-tuning her Subaru GC8 ahead of the globally recognized rally competition as she also takes part in conservation activities.

The tree-planting exercise held at Karuri Primary School and Gachie High School in Nairobi, aligns with Kenya’s ambitious 15-billion-tree goal by 2032.
KCB directed Sh1 million from its WRC sponsorship towards conservation as it integrates community engagement, education, and environmental impact into its rallying initiatives.
In 2025, KCB Group has committed to planting 3,000 trees after already planting more than 100,000 trees since 2021 as world rally enthusiasts converges in Kenya for WRC Safari Rally.
KCB-sponsored drivers, among them Karan Patel, Nikhil Sachania and Evans Kavisi, alongside their navigators have played an active role in KCB’s sustained efforts towards afforestation.
