Jacques Kruyswijk put on a tough fight to score 4 under-par 67 on Sunday to carry the day after four grueling rounds of 18 under par 266 to bag his first-ever DP Tour series triumph.

The 32-year-old golfer swung from 52nd to the top on Saturday kicking Englishman John Parry from owning the leaderboard going into the action-packed finale on Sunday.

“There is no better gift than heading home as a champion. I will strive to keep up the faith,” said an exhilarated Kruyswijk on his win.

On Saturday, three unexpected bogeys put an end to Parry’s immaculate run after leading in the first two rounds.

Kruyswijk took home a whopping Sh55 million for emerging the victor of the 2025 Magical Kenya Open with Parry following in second place with -16/268 to take home Sh35 million.

For the second year running, no Kenyan golfer qualified to join the money bracket with a Sh322 million total purse in the popular four-day tournament that attracted 150 golfers.

MKO defending champions; Dutchman Dairus van Driel of (2015), Swede Sebastian Soderberg (2016), Italian Guido Miggliozi (2019), South African Justin Harding (2021) and Chinese Ashun Wu (2022) fell off the cut wagon on the second day of the event on Friday.

Similarly, Finnish Oliver Lindell, who made history at Muthaiga Golf Club when he shot a hole-in-one in the 13th hole to win a Ford Ranger Wildtrak in 2018, failed to make the cut.

Mitansh Thacker (Sigona), Kevin Anyien (Golf Park) and Kanana Muthomi (Windsor) won the Beat the Pro challenge by Absa Bank Kenya held at the 13th hole featuring 20 junior golfers.

For their exemplary performance during the thrilling faceoff between the juniors and international Pros at the par-3 hole each of them got an Absa Junior Account with Sh50,000.
