The Par 72 Thika Sports Club is poised to become a hive of activity this weekend as it prepares to host the eagerly anticipated fifth leg of the DTB "Bank with Us" Golf Tournament.

With over 200 golfers, including DTB customers hailing from Thika and its environs, the event promises a thrilling display of golfing prowess and camaraderie.

The DTB "Bank with Us" Golf Tournament, an initiative by Diamond Trust Bank (DTB), continues to underscore the bank's commitment to connecting with its clientele through the sport of golf.

Kennedy Nyakomitta, the Director of Sales at DTB, expressed the bank's enthusiasm for the forthcoming tournament.

"This year, we have had four successful tournaments in different counties which have allowed us to meet our customers, engage with them, and gather their feedback. We anticipate hosting more events as they also serve to promote and showcase sporting talent."

The golfing series, which teed off in April at the Sigona Golf Club, has traversed various counties, including Kiambu, Trans Nzoia, Nakuru, and most recently, Malindi at the Malindi Golf Club.


The Malindi leg witnessed Walter Juma secure a commendable fourth-place finish in this year's series, after amassing an impressive 42 points.

Other notable winners in the previous legs include Jiang Qi of Sigona Golf Club, Harun Ndegwa of Kitale Golf Club, and Francis Kioni of Nakuru Golf Club, who emerged triumphant in the first, second, and third legs.

The DTB "Bank with Us" Golf Tournament is designed not only to promote the sport of golf but also to facilitate business growth by offering convenient services to customers while providing valuable networking opportunities.

Since its inception last year, the tournament has successfully interacted with over 4,000 customers nationwide, fostering stronger connections and enhancing the customer experience.
