Matteo Pessina scored the winning goal for Italy during Euro 2020 against Wales making them finish top of Group A, with both teams advancing to the last 16.
Matteo Pessina's only goal in the match that ended at Italy 1 - 0 Wales, gave Italy a straight third win and extending its unbeaten record since the group stages at the European Championship.
The goal came from a free kick in the first half after his team Marco Verratti sent a nice shot and Pessina netted in the ball.

Just 10 minutes into the second half, Wales defender, Ethan Ampadu was sent off the match with a questionable straight red card for stepping on Federico Bernardeschi’s ankle.

In the 74th minute, Wales missed their equalizer when Gareth Bale volleyed over the bar from close range.
Italy has finished Group A with a perfect nine points while Wales came second with four points and qualified for the last 16 at only its second European Championship.
Wales will now take on the runners-up of Group B and Italy set to take on runners up for Group C.
